BriX Consulting builds and modernises critical software for critical infrastructure: for organisations that can’t afford to get it wrong. Our focus is governance for software built with AI. AI coding agents can multiply what an engineering team delivers, or multiply its risk. In regulated and safety-relevant sectors, speed without control is not an option. We take organisations from Agile and DevOps to an AI software factory that is engineered, traceable and auditable from requirement to production. Track record. Our founder has built critical software since 1998 and was DevOps Lead for the IBM CIO organisation. Under BriX we led DevOps and platform engineering at ZF (Internal Developer Platform, presented at PlatformCon 2025), KTM and NS International (Dutch Railways), whose team has shipped to production with AI coding since January 2026, plus DevSecOps and compliance work in fintech. Three layers that only work together: - Engineering: delivery and modernisation of critical systems, DevSecOps, SRE and platform engineering. - People: the Software Craftsmanship Dojo® trains and coaches teams inside your organisation, documented in a peer-reviewed experience report at XP 2024. - Governance: nWave, our open-source framework, puts AI agents inside a harness they must obey and cannot modify, so every AI-assisted change stays disciplined, traceable and measurable. For European operators, this discipline supports what NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act and the EU AI Act ask for: secure development, traceability and AI literacy.
Slovak industry runs on software: in vehicles, machines, energy grids, plants and factory IT. When that software fails, production, safety or supply stops. AI coding agents are entering these teams fast, often without governance. We look for partners to bring governed, AI-ready engineering to critical software in Slovakia. Main goals: 1. A pilot with an operator or manufacturer running critical software in-house (energy, utilities, transport, automotive, industrial automation): one team, one AI-governance assessment, a measured result before any larger commitment. 2. A delivery partnership with infrastructure providers, system integrators and IT services firms: you bring client relationships and infrastructure or OT capability; we bring the software layer, the method, the training and nWave. 3. R&D cooperation with universities and research centres on safe, measurable AI-assisted development for regulated environments, including joint EU-funded projects. Target partners: CTOs, CIOs, CISOs and heads of engineering in energy, utilities, transport, automotive and engineering; integrators; research institutions. Slovakia first, Central Europe and DACH welcome. Meetings in English, on site or online.
